For a years or two now, I have been addicted to Maple Story, a MMORPG which is implemented as a 2-D jump 'n' run side-scroller.
The average player is a twelve-year old, living in Malaysia, with some in Singapore. There are, Buddha be thanked, also some older players, off about university age, but I am the grand-daddy (and am often called "uncle", which is a sign of respect in these parts). The chat, even with the kids, can be surprisingly entertaining. They are also quite imaginative about naming their characters, pets and guilds, so I have gathered together a collection of screenshots which I now offer for your edification.
