I have been coding snippets for a year or so now and there have been
0 total downloads.
I have had precisely two emails from people who said "I use one or more of your snippets and I like it, thank you".
A number somewhere in single digits have written to say that a snippet didn't work, or to request some modification to fit their particular needs.
This despite at least one incident where I released a snippet, over fifty people downloaded it, and then I realised that it did not work.
This lack of feedback is extremely disheartening. I am not looking for an ego boost, although any positive feedback would be very welcome. What I really want to know is if anyone actually uses these snippets, if they work as expected and if they could be improved.
So, please, please, please, if you download any of these snippets and they don't seem to work, or don't work quite as you would like them to,
let me know.
Just think about it for a moment: I obviously spend a lot of time coding these snippets - I am not doing it to annoy you - if something doesn't work as expected, I will work with you until it does.
